Victor Victori
Victori was born in 1943 in a small peach farming village outside of Seoul, Korea. After enduring years of the Korean War as a young child and later serving in the Air Force, he left Korea in 1969 and traveled through Europe, studying the works of old masters including his most revered icons, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Michelangelo. He immigrated to the United States in 1972 and undertook his first project to paint a mural of all the U.S. Presidents. After receiving a personal invitation and thank you letter from President Nixon, Victori delivered the painting to the White House in 1973 where it hangs to this day. During the 70’s and 80’s, Victori traveled the country working as a portrait artist, then started and ran his own gallery on 230 Park Avenue during the 90’s. He currently works out of his private studio where he is focused on further developing his own unique style of painting called Multiplism. He is father to 5 grown sons and lives with his wife Maria in Rutherford, NJ.
