Sarah Park
Sarah Park was born in Seoul and immigrated to the US in middle school. As a child in Korea, Sarah noticed inequalities and injustices surrounding her and would try to create a space where everyone was equal. She would make sure classmates would have resources and offer support when needed.
Today, Sarah is a community leader for the Korean American community in Atlanta, GA. As a 1.5-generation Korean American, she recognizes her experience navigating two cultures as a strength to bridge the gap between first and second-generation Korean Americans and beyond. Even though didn’t always feel like she belonged, Sarah believes the US is her home. She hopes her children and the next generation will grow up proud of who they are and where they come from.
Thank you to Rayanne Williams of Atlanta, GA for coordinating this Legacy Project recording!
