Category: Legacy Project, Original Video, Video

Matt Fischer was born in Korea and adopted at the age of 7. He was brought to a small town in Michigan but faced a childhood filled with obstacles due to his adoptive family. Somehow finding a way to be grateful through it all, Matt shares how he went from living in a coworker’s basement to finding a new family and eventually following his dreams of becoming a doctor.

“Despite all of my experiences with the Fischer’s, I still am grateful that I was adopted.”

In Part 2, Matt talks about the beauty of starting a new chapter with his family and the joys becoming a father to his own biological sons.

Matt also shares about his experience returning to his birth country to find out about his birth mother, and how everything came to a full circle when he and his wife decided to adopt a child from the same adoption agency he himself was in.
