HJ Lee: President
HJ Lee is the founder and president of KoreanAmericanStory.org. He is a proud graduate of the New York City public school system and Columbia University. Prior to pursuing his dream of founding KoreanAmericanStory.org, HJ has gathered over 20 years of experience in the high tech industry as an executive in various product, market and business development roles. He loves cooking, which enables him to collect and drink great wine at home. He is also an avid runner who is a 2 time qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

Theresa Choh-Lee: Vice President, Marketing
Theresa is the Business Director of Frozen Bakery Products at Pepperidge Farm, a Campbell Soup Company. Previously, Theresa has worked in numerous brand management roles within Kraft Foods and Unilever. She has also served in leadership positions at various corporate diversity programs. She is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio, and Columbia Business School .

John Kwon: Finance
John is the Managing Director of BDO Seidman’s Valuation Services Group. He is a graduate of MIT and has an M.B.A. from New York University. John is a strong supporter of Habitat for Humanity – NYC, serving on its board from 2001 to 2009. Additionally John has long supported Korean-American organizations in the NY metro area such as the Korean American Family Service Center, the Korean American Community Foundation, the Korean American League for Civic Action, and the Korea Society.

Yoon Son: Secretary
Yoon K. Son came to the United States as a seven year old, armed with an English vocabulary that consisted of the single word “hippopotamus.” His vocabulary has since expanded to the point that he is now pursuing a Ph.D. in English literature at the Graduate Center (CUNY) in New York. Married with two young daughters, he happily spends much too much time reading children’s books when he probably should be reading Shakespeare.

Julie Young: Chair of Annual Fundraiser & Development
Julie Young is a consulting attorney with over 15 years of experience in Complex Commercial Litigation matters. She is a former associate of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Julie is also a writer and editor for KoreanAmericanStory.org. She authors the “Heart and Seoul” column. The column gives her perspective as an adopted Korean woman who was raised by a white family and is now raising her own multi-racial family. Additionally, Julie interviews and writes pieces on dynamic Korean-Americans for the “Profiles” column. She further enjoys, and has experience in, floral design and event planning. Julie holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from Fordham University and a J.D. degree from Cardozo School of Law. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and twins.
