Special thanks to our honorees Martha Crawford, Jeannie Park, and Brian Tee for sharing their truly inspiring personal stories and to the incredible beatboxer and live-looper, Sung Lee, who amazed the audience.

Performers

Brian Tee

Actor Brian Tee was one of our three Trailblazer Award honorees at the Gala. He is best known for his starring role as “DK, the Drift King,” in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Brian humbly accepted his award, sharing that his story is one of gratitude. He also recognized the presence and influence of "three very strong women" in his life: his aunt, mother, and grandmother.

Jeannie Park

Journalist and non-profit leader Jeannie Park was one of our three Trailblazer Award honorees at the Gala. She was founding president of the Asian American Journalists Association in New York, and has worked tirelessly to change the dynamics of the industry. While Jeannie was given the spotlight, she took the moment to thank her mother and to recognize her resilience--even in the midst of grief, loss, and danger.

Martha Crawford

Psychotherapist and adoptive parent Martha Crawford was one of our three Trailblazer Award honorees at the Gala. She highlighted the importance of having spaces, such as All Together Now which she and her husband founded, where "adopted children define their own experiences, and adoptive parents sit and listen and learn from adoptees."

Sung Lee

Award-winning beatboxer Sung Lee (SungBeats) was the featured performer at the Gala. He blew us away with all of his different talents: beatboxing, rapping, singing, and creating music!!
